FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Launch of HarrisonGray Announced
Consulting firm headquartered in Atlanta counts American Cancer Society and Pension Resource Group among clients.
ATLANTA, MARCH 5, 2002 - HarrisonGray, a consulting firm headquartered in Atlanta, has announced its formation.
Key clients include the American Cancer Society, based in Atlanta, and Pension Resource Group in Woodstock, Georgia.
When asked why Atlanta was chosen as its headquarters, Marcus Stuart, a founder and CEO (and a partner with CommuneAtlanta restaurant) said, “Atlanta has a vast pool of established and poised market-leading companies; it’s a fast growing city with diverse business and technical talent; and has an excellent educational pool from the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech.”
Georgia is also home to a large percentage of Fortune 500 firms such as Southern, Coca-Cola, Georgia-Pacific, BellSouth, United Parcel Service and Suntrust, with many more having regional offices, creating a strong argument to launch the consulting firm in the region.Stuart continued, "There will be many opportunities in consulting as an economic rebound seems close at hand. Especially since many of the new age and start-up consultancies have been weeded out, and the Big Five are being affected in by the accounting/consulting conflicts in the news. As companies continue to retrench and get back to basics, there are tremendous partnering opportunities to propel these firms to become and remain tomorrow’s leaders.”
Another differentiator for the firm is that HarrisonGray actively seeks ways to partner with clients on projects that involve cost savings or growth opportunities. "We put our money where our mouth is," said Stuart.
HarrisonGray was established by senior business strategists and technologists from Arthur Andersen, Andersen Consulting, BoozAllen, iXL and Scient. The firm works with clients from Global 2000 to start-ups in such industries as financial services; transportation; aerospace and defense; government and non-profit; energy and utilities; pharmaceutical and health services; hospitality; media and entertainment; and telecommunications. Areas of expertise include organizational and change management, supply chain, program management, CRM, outsourcing and knowledge management.
HarrisonGray currently employs 22 consultants, and has offices both in Atlanta and New York City.
